As a cemetery gardener and sexton, you contribute to ensuring that our cemetery remains a place of peace, remembrance, and encounter, maintained and designed with dignity. Your daily challenges. You…

• ensure a dignified process for earth and urn burials and act as a competent contact person for visitors and relatives.

• monitor, maintain, and repair operational facilities, buildings, vehicles, machines, and equipment, and coordinate work by third parties.
• organise and carry out administrative tasks such as work reports, material orders, burial registers, as well as the preparation of simple reports and decision-making documents.
• are responsible for the care and maintenance of green spaces, flower beds, and grave sites.
• participate in projects, new regulations, and commissions and take on additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

The skills you bring. You…

• have completed a vocational training in a craft, preferably as a landscape gardener, operations practitioner, or an equivalent qualification.
• bring several years of professional experience and work independently, reliably, and responsibly.
• convince through strong communication skills, assertiveness, and pronounced organisational talent.
• hold a driving licence and ideally have foreign language skills.
• enjoy working alone and independently while maintaining a professional approach with different stakeholders.
• show willingness to develop professionally and to complete the necessary training and further education for the role, and occasionally work outside regular hours.
