Head of Specialist Departments and Parish Pastoral Care (70 to 85%)

In this versatile key position, you will take responsibility for central specialist departments, actively participate in pastoral care, and specifically relieve the pastoral area priest in organisational and coordinative tasks. Together, you will ensure that the pastoral area can continue to develop with a future-oriented approach.

Your tasks

• You lead the specialist departments of youth work, work with the elderly, religious education and catechesis, as well as diaconal and social work.
• You support and relieve the pastoral area priest in organisational and coordinative leadership tasks.
• You work in the parish pastoral care of the pastoral area.
• You engage in the ecumenical CityKircheZug.
• You contribute ideas and actively shape the further development of our pastoral area.

What you bring

• Completed theological training with professional induction from the Diocese of Basel or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in pastoral care as well as practical knowledge in at least one of the specialist areas of work with the elderly, youth work, religious education and catechesis, or diaconal and social work.
• Leadership experience as well as organisational skills and experience in project management.
• Enjoyment in taking responsibility, networking people, and driving developments forward.
• A confident and engaging manner as well as strong communication skills.
• A team-oriented, spiritually rooted, and socially committed personality with a home in the Catholic Church.
