Do you want to change careers and are ready for a career switch? We train you internally at VBL in just 4 to 7 weeks to become a trolleybus or bus driver – with full pay and no training costs for you. The training is full-time. Afterwards, there is the possibility to reduce your working hours. From November 2026, we will have training places available again.

• Passengers from various neighbourhoods, cultures and walks of life rely on you. You drive them safely and reliably to their destination every day with our modern buses.
• You move Lucerne and make a difference every day for hundreds of passengers with your friendly and courteous manner.
• If passengers have questions, you provide helpful information and thus contribute to the positive and likeable atmosphere of Lucerne.
• You take responsibility for the punctual and safe transport of our passengers, for safe road traffic in Lucerne and for our vehicles.

This is what you bring with you.

• You have completed basic training, ideally in the service sector.
• You have held a category B driving licence for at least 3 years and have good and safe driving experience.
• You enjoy customer contact and impress with your likeable, service-oriented demeanour.
• Very good German skills, both spoken and written, are required (at least level B2 including certificate).
• You have an impeccable reputation.
• You use digital work tools competently.
• You live in the Lucerne region and see irregular working hours as an advantage to enjoy your free time while others are working.
