Responsibility for the architecture, operation and further development of central datacentre, server, virtualisation, storage and backup platforms based on Windows, Linux, VMware vSphere Suite, vCenter, ESXi, VEEAM Backup Suite, Veeam for O365, Cisco, Pure Storage and DELL/EMC.
Technical management of infrastructure projects including technology evaluation, target image definition, migration, commissioning and coordination with the network team. Changes are planned with particular attention to availability, risk minimisation and the requirements of patient care.
Execution and professional support of procurements through technical specifications, tender procedures, structured offer analyses and well-founded recommendations. Additionally, handling complex operational disruptions at Level 2 and 3 including coordination of necessary measures and participation in on-call duty.
Ensuring technical quality and documentation standards as well as maintaining comprehensive infrastructure documents in German or French and technical documentation in English. Knowledge transfer and training within the team are also part of the responsibilities, as is the operational implementation of cybersecurity measures.
Qualifications:
University degree in computer science or an equivalent recognised qualification and relevant experience in system architecture or ICT platforms; knowledge from a hospital environment is an advantage.
Solid administration experience with Windows and Linux servers as well as comprehensive knowledge of the virtualisation, storage and backup technologies used: VMware vSphere Suite, vCenter, ESXi, Veeam, Cisco, Pure Storage and DELL/EMC.
Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure projects, conducting technical tenders and developing migration concepts; additionally experience in process automation with PowerShell.
Analytical and holistic thinking, high diligence and reliability as well as independence, service and team orientation are expected. Technical leadership, development of viable target images and support of change processes complement the profile.
German written and spoken fluently or French at native level; good knowledge of the other language and intermediate skills in technical English.
