Salary - CHF97,500 - 110,500Our client is a traditional Swiss company with extensive expertise in the procurement, processing, and distribution of technical products. The company supplies customers from various industrial and commercial sectors and combines a broad range of products with individual services. Role:
You are familiar with the dynamics of the international steel market and want to apply your experience in a responsible leadership position? As Head of Procurement with strategic foresight (m/f/d), you will lead a procurement team of four. You combine economic purchasing decisions with forward-looking material planning and specifically develop existing supplier relationships and internal processes.
Responsibilities:
You take over the leadership of the purchasing team and are responsible for their professional and personnel development.
You ensure economical material supply and keep an eye on procurement quantities, order dates, and inventories.
You design purchasing agreements and negotiate attractive conditions with business partners at home and abroad.
You strengthen existing supplier relationships, review their performance, and specifically develop the supplier network.
You monitor international procurement markets and consider price changes as well as possible delivery bottlenecks in your decisions.
You ensure reliable supply through cross-departmental collaboration with sales, production, and logistics.
You drive the further development of the purchasing organisation and improve workflows, data quality, and relevant key figures.
Qualifications:
You have completed higher education or further training in purchasing or business administration, for example as a purchasing manager with a federal diploma, purchasing specialist with a federal certificate, or a certified business economist HF.
You have several years of professional experience in procurement as well as experience in staff management, ideally from an industrial, commercial, or manufacturing company.
You are familiar with cross-border procurement and international supplier relationships.
You can assess market movements and price developments competently and recognise potential risks within the supply chain.
You possess practical knowledge of Incoterms as well as customs and import processes.
You are characterised by entrepreneurial thinking, personal responsibility, and a structured way of working.
You have business fluent German and English skills.
