Senior Test Engineer - Fluidics Component (m/f/d)

As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are currently looking for a motivated and dedicated Senior Test Engineer - Fluidics Component for a temporary assignment of 1 year, with a high probability of extension.

In this role, your primary focus will center on fundamental fluid mechanics, driving the quality, tightness, and endurance testing of critical fluidic components and consumables for next-generation Blood Gas & Electrolytes (BG/E) Analyzers.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Fluidic Component Verification: Execute rigorous tightness, stress, pressure, and endurance testing on fluidic components, connectors, valves, and consumables.
• Test Rig Design: Design, assemble, and optimize custom fluidic test rigs utilizing CAD tools (SolidWorks), integrating pumps, valves, and fluid sensors.
• Automated Life Testing (ALT): Develop and execute accelerated durability and wear-and-tear testing protocols to simulate long-term product lifecycles.
• V&V & Compliance: Write, execute, and document test protocols for Verification and Validation (V&V) in strict compliance with medical device standards (FDA/MDR).
• Data & Design Improvement: Script rig control automation in Python, analyze fluidic metrics, and drive DFM/DFA design improvements through systematic root cause analysis.

Must-Haves

• Degree (BSc, MSc, PhD, or HF) in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• 5+ years of testing experience with a strong background in fluid mechanics, fluidic systems, or microfluidic consumables in medical devices / IVD (FDA/MDR).
• Strong hands-on CAD design skills (SolidWorks) for fluidic test fixture building.
• Proven experience with ALM tools (Codebeamer), Jira, and Python scripting for data acquisition.
• Language Skills: Professional proficiency in English is required. German comprehension is a distinct advantage.
