We are looking for a Category Manager Mechanical Components (m/f/d) to strengthen our global purchasing organisation at Endress+Hauser Flowtec AG, the competence centre for flow measurement technology. In this role, you will contribute to shaping a robust and sustainable supply chain strategy that ensures our long-term success.
What is this role about?
You will take global responsibility for the product group Forging/Flanges as well as other mechanical technologies. In doing so, you will define, implement, and manage the global product group strategy in close collaboration with cross-functional teams at all worldwide locations.
What tasks will you undertake?
You will:
- lead the global product group Forging/Flanges as well as other mechanical technologies.
- define, implement, and execute the global product group strategy – in line with corporate and supply chain objectives.
- conduct continuous procurement market analyses and supplier evaluations to improve costs, quality, and availability.
- identify and implement cost optimisation initiatives and global procurement projects.
- actively manage risks related to components, suppliers, and procurement markets.
- work closely with local and global cross-functional teams, including engineering, logistics, and quality management.
What do we expect from you?
You:
- have a technical degree (FH/University) or training as a certified purchaser, ideally with additional training in supply management.
- bring several years of professional experience in a comparable role, ideally in global purchasing and series procurement of mechanical components.
- are proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
- possess strong leadership, communication, intercultural, and interpersonal skills.
- have comprehensive knowledge of global procurement markets and their trends, as well as analytical and conceptual strengths with pronounced negotiation skills in German and English.
- are characterised by a flexible, reliable, and socially competent personality and are willing to travel internationally.
