Portrait of the School/Institution
The village of Uebeschi is located in a very beautiful, rural setting and yet only eight kilometers from the city of Thun. At our school, around 70 children from kindergarten to 6th grade are taught in one kindergarten and three mixed classes.
For the 5th/6th grade, we are looking for a motivated teacher who is willing to lead the class of 20 students in a team of two during the semester break. If possible, the position will continue as a class teacher in the new school year.

Tasks
You will teach the 5th/6th grade together with an experienced teacher. The current timetable includes the following subjects: 6 lessons German, 4 lessons NMG (Nature, Man, Society), 2 lessons Music, 3 lessons French, 1 lesson ROT and the following working days: Tuesday full day, Monday/Thursday/Friday morning. If desired, we can also make small changes (no teaching on Monday).
In addition to the workload, 1 lesson of DAZ (German as a second language) with a student from the class can be taken over.
From March 2nd to 6th, 2026, the winter sports camp will take place in Grindelwald. Participation is desired but not a condition for possible employment.
Requirements
You have a recognized qualification for primary education in the canton of Bern and ideally already have teaching experience. You look forward to working in a mixed-age class and would like to engage in a small team.
In addition, you are an independent, responsible, and communicative person and value good cooperation and exchange within the team as well as with parents. You actively participate in school projects.
