About the job
We are a consultancy based in the heart of Basel. For our clients (public administration, companies, associations, and international organisations), we address questions on public finances, labour market and migration, health, education and social security, location attractiveness and economic growth, as well as environment, climate and energy.
Each year, we offer two internship positions (each for 6 months) in our "Internship Plus" programme: project work plus master's thesis. You will participate in our projects (50%) and simultaneously write your master's thesis on site with us (50%). The programme is aimed at students of economics and social sciences with above-average performance. The topic of the master's thesis is determined by mutual agreement. Where possible, we provide a topic and data for empirical analyses.
The professional requirements for the internship include good empirical skills and programming knowledge (Stata or R). Furthermore, we expect an interest in society, politics and economics, good oral and written communication skills, flexibility and resilience. Your mother tongue should be German; knowledge of French is welcome. The start of work is usually at the beginning of February and August (or by arrangement). If we have aroused your interest, Maria Salem looks forward to receiving your complete application dossier via e-mail. Applications can be submitted continuously. The position for 2026 has already been filled.
