Due to our growth, we are looking for a Head of External IT Operations for our team.

Your tasks

• Overall responsibility for external operations (Service Desk and ICT)
• Leading the Service Desk and ensuring a high first-time resolution rate as well as professional customer communication
• Ensuring operational stability across all customer systems (monitoring, alerting, release capability, security patches)
• Incident, problem, and change management, including escalation and communication processes
• Managing external service providers and monitoring their SLA compliance
• Resource management for operational capacities in operations (Service Desk, ICT Engineers, On-Call Services)
• Operational and service continuity: ensuring backup, recovery, emergency, and business continuity processes
• Ensuring compliance with contractual service levels (SLA/KPI reporting, throughput times, availability)
• Introduction and further development of operational governance, including processes, standards, tools, and continuous improvements
• Customer communication during disruptions: responsible for timely, precise, and transparent notifications to all customers

Your profile

• 10+ years of successful leadership experience, 5+ years of experience leading an IT operations organization
• Completed studies in medicine, computer science, or a related field
• Strong strategic and analytical skills
• Entrepreneurial thinking, decisiveness, and leadership qualities
• Successful experience in building and further developing IT operations organizations
• Very high self-motivation, energy, and resilience
• Fluent in German & English, French is an advantage
