Desk Secretary for Pre-Anaesthesia Consultations at the CCA
The Anaesthesiology Department is looking for a 50% desk secretary for pre-anaesthesia consultations, starting 1 October 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Anaesthesiology Department supports patients of all ages during surgical interventions, diagnostic examinations and emergency situations. It ensures the monitoring of vital functions, pain management as well as peri- and postoperative follow-up, in close collaboration with medical and nursing teams.
Mission
- You schedule pre-anaesthesia consultations and manage patient appointments
- You handle telephone reception and provide information to patients according to current procedures
- You manage the administrative handling of outpatient patient files
- You provide administrative support to medical and nursing teams to ensure smooth consultations
- You contribute to the quality of reception and the efficient running of the secretariat.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification
- You have several years of experience in an administrative or reception role, ideally in a hospital environment
- You are proficient with office tools (MS Office); knowledge of institutional software is an asset
- You are fluent in French; knowledge of a second language is an advantage
- You demonstrate rigour, discretion, flexibility and enjoy teamwork while being able to work independently
- You have good organisational skills, can manage priorities and stressful situations
- You have excellent reception skills and good interpersonal qualities
- You are available to work Monday to Friday, every morning, from 8:00 to 12:30.
