The SVA BL is the competence centre for social insurances in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. As an independent public-law enterprise, it fulfils a legal mandate and contributes to social security for the population and the economy of the canton.

For the Disability Benefits Department, we are looking for an immediate or agreed start of a

Disability Pension Specialist (80 - 100 %)

What you will achieve

• You examine pension applications, combine the medical, legal and economic decision bases and initiate the necessary clarifications.
• You clarify open questions in interdisciplinary exchange with the involved internal specialist teams and develop a well-founded overall assessment.
• You determine the degree of disability and justify it comprehensibly.
• You check the entitlement to helplessness compensation and regularly deal with insured persons, legal representatives, guardians, doctors, insurance companies and other agencies.
• You draft legally sound and comprehensible benefit decisions and process them up to the appealable ruling.
• You assess the individual situation of the insured persons holistically and check whether this results in further clarification or action possibilities.

What you bring

• You have a commercial education or a background in healthcare. Further training or experience in social or private insurance, for example as a social insurance specialist with a federal diploma, is an advantage – or you are motivated to obtain this qualification.
• You are a team player, think ahead and enjoy working on complex medical and legal issues.
• You clearly articulate complex matters in German and make well-founded decisions even in demanding situations.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
