At the Directorate for Education, Social Affairs and Sport, the person is at the centre. The daycare in the city of Bern is a voluntary family-supporting care service for school children.

What you will achieve

• Educational care, guidance, leadership and support of children aged 4 to 8 in several groups
• Planning and implementation of activities with the children
• Solution-oriented, constructive, efficient and transparent collaboration with the team, daycare management and parents
• Further development and implementation of concepts and processes of daycare (New Authority)

What you bring

• Training as a childcare specialist with a federal certificate of competence
• Several years of professional experience in accompanying children desired
• Quick comprehension, ability to act flexibly, pragmatically and multifunctionally
• Proactive work attitude, awareness and implementation of your own role model function, assertiveness and resilience
• Professional understanding and handling of closeness and distance

Depending on the position, we arrange a trial or taster day, give you a professional task, organise a meeting with the team or invite you to an assessment. Reference checks are usually also part of our application process. You will be transparently informed about all steps in the process.
