What to expect

At the Gadretsch Primary School, you will take on a leading role in a diverse and lively school day. As the school principal, you are the driving force for contemporary pedagogy, a reliable school operation, and a positive team culture.

You will work closely with the rectorate and the school management conference – a committed committee consisting of the rectorate, secretariat, and three school leaders, which can be supplemented by specialists in ICT, special education, or infrastructure as needed. Together, you will shape the further development of our school.

We are looking for someone to start immediately or by arrangement

• You lead the classes, teachers, and class assistants of the Gadretsch Primary School both professionally and personally.
• You ensure a well-organized, lively, and reliable school operation.
• You actively participate in school development – innovative, solution-oriented, and with a holistic perspective.
• You communicate clearly and transparently with employees, parents, authorities, and the rectorate.
• You create an environment where learning succeeds, people enjoy working, and children and young people can develop.

You are an empathetic, appreciative personality who brings people together and inspires enthusiasm. You understand the concerns of teachers, parents, and children – and find pragmatic solutions that advance everyday school life.

What you bring:

• Training as a primary school teacher with several years of teaching experience
• Desirable: completed school management training (or willingness to complete it)
• High independence, organizational strength, and decision-making ability
• Enjoyment in leading teams, driving developments, and fostering an appreciative culture
• Resilience, humor, and the ability to keep an overview even in busy times
