The Health Promotion and Prevention Unit in Schools (UPSPS) participates in the development of school health programmes for children and young people aged 4 to 20 and ensures their implementation on behalf of the State. The activities of the UPSPS aim to maintain and improve, both individually and collectively, the physical, mental and social health of schoolchildren. Implemented in collaboration with families, school professionals, services and partner organisations, the activities of the UPSPS contribute to the harmonious development of children and young people, as well as to their well-being and integration into school. They help create a school climate favourable to learning.
The school nursing sector plays an essential role by providing advice, expertise and care in areas related to the physical, mental and social health of children and adolescents and by conducting prevention and health promotion activities in the community.
We are looking for: A school nurse at 50% Primary school Gimel-Etoy
Responsibilities:
- Provide advice, expertise, support and care to ensure the physical, mental and social well-being of children.
- Propose interventions promoting the inclusion and protection of children and adolescents, taking into account diversity and multiculturalism.
- Develop health promotion and prevention activities in the community.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent qualification (for foreign diplomas, Red Cross recognition is mandatory)
- Completed or to start a DAS in community health within 2 years
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience, including experience in an out-of-hospital setting and ideally with a population of children and/or adolescents
- Excellent interpersonal skills and interdisciplinary collaboration with different audiences
- Sense of responsibility, autonomy, proactivity, adaptability
- Good personal organisation, ability to manage priorities and stress
- Comfortable using IT tools and writing in French.
