Graubünden Social Services Office | 80–100% | Chur
On behalf of the municipalities, the Cantonal Social Services Office fulfils the task of providing social and addiction assistance to people and supports them in accessing financial social assistance. To this end, it manages eight regional social services in the Canton’s regions. The regional social service Chur/Plessur/Imboden is responsible for 10 municipalities with a catchment area of 67,000 people.

For the Chur location, we are looking for a Secretary / Assigned Officer for 1 August 2026 or a date to be agreed.
- Independently submit applications as needed (e.g. scholarship applications)
- Process social assistance and circumstantial benefit applications
- Request quotes and handle notifications and changes with health insurers, liability insurance and competent migration authorities
- Submit funding applications to funds and foundations in collaboration with social workers
- Record and process data in the electronic case management system and act as contact person for system-related applications
- Carry out general secretarial duties
- Register the situation of new clients and provide factual information by phone and at the counter
- Support social workers in administrative activities
- Other varied, interesting and responsible tasks
- Completed commercial training or equivalent training with several years of professional experience
- Empathetic, clear and service-oriented communication style
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- Independent, responsible and constructive working method, even in hectic situations
- Precise and structured working method
- Interest in social issues and working with people from different social backgrounds and/or cultural origins
- Familiarity with common MS Office programmes and affinity for IT
- Knowledge of social insurance and foreign languages is an advantage
