Application Engineer for the Renewal of the Operational Command System Cantonal Police Zurich (limited to 3 years) 80 - 100%
Tasks
- You will take on the deputy sub-project management "Operational Command System" in the 'CADnovo' project and actively participate in the development of the new operational command system of the Cantonal Police Zurich.
- You will actively support the configurative work on the system with your in-depth technical know-how, act as a technical contact person between suppliers and dispatchers, and ensure that the future OCS optimally covers the processes of the operational command center.
- Thanks to your pronounced analytical skills, solid IT know-how, and strong interest in transferring operational needs into applicative functions, you will make a decisive contribution to the later acceptance of the new operational command system in operation.
- You are accustomed to communicating with different stakeholders in the project.
- Your quick comprehension enables you to quickly grasp and classify complex issues.
- The responsibility for building an effective testing process for the implementation and introduction phase as well as the later operation completes the interesting and versatile job profile.
Profile
- Completed bachelor's degree with a strong IT or geoinformatics focus (FH/University/ETH)
- Several years of experience in building and/or operating mission-critical and system-relevant IT systems
- Know-how in software testing, SQL Server, and HERMES is an advantage
- Experience with GIS systems for capturing, analyzing, and displaying geographic data is an advantage;
- Strong communication skills and teamwork as well as a solution-oriented working style
- Resilient personality with high social competence and pronounced sense of responsibility
- Excellent team and communication skills, assertiveness, and good presentation skills
- Willingness to face new professional challenges, readiness to move out of the professional comfort zone, and doer qualities
- Swiss citizen with an impeccable reputation
