Head of Communications Department 80 - 100%

Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.

As of 1 January 2027, we are seeking a decisive and innovative leader as Head of Communications JuWe.

Your area of responsibility
- In this role, you are responsible for the entire appearance of JuWe across all channels and ensure integral communication aligned with JuWe’s mission, values, and self-image both externally and internally
- You strategically and operationally align JuWe’s communication with the goal of strengthening trust in JuWe and the correctional services
- Reporting directly to the Head of JuWe, you lead the Communications Department with a total of 5 employees
- As a member of the JuWe Executive Board, you play a key role in overarching tasks such as the further development of correctional services

Your profile
- You hold a university degree and have professional experience in corporate, organisational, or marketing communications or a related field
- As an experienced leader, you provide direction, are familiar with contemporary leadership and organisational forms, and lead with a focus on potential
- Strategic and conceptual work are among your core competencies
- You skilfully combine various communication channels and know how to convey complex matters clearly
- You are curious, composed, and possess political sensitivity
- Your reputation is impeccable
