About the job
You accompany people in their important life moments, listen, support, celebrate, and contribute. As a parish chaplain, you shape the church close to the people: spiritually rooted, capable of dialogue, and open to the questions of our time. In the two lively parishes of Malters and Schwarzenberg with around 6,300 believers, a diverse pastoral field of activity, a committed team, and the opportunity to actively help shape and further develop the church await you.What awaits you with us:

Your tasks:
• organising services, funerals, and new liturgical forms
• pastoral care of people in different life situations, e.g. during transitions, crises, grief, illness
• collaboration in the pastoral area team
• participative and appreciative support of employees, volunteers, and associations
• supporting a church that respects traditions while being open to new forms and paths
• presence in parish life and building sustainable relationships in the village and region
• depending on personal disposition and interest, the possibility to take on additional pastoral focuses and further develop your own area of responsibility
What you bring:
• a completed theological education with professional induction from the Diocese of Basel (or equivalent).
• experience in church pastoral care
• a team-oriented, spiritually and socially committed personality
• joy in working with different people and life stories
