You will develop the foundations for the project "The Art Monuments of the Canton of Nidwalden" in two volumes in the series "The Art Monuments of Switzerland" published by the Society for Swiss Art History GSK:
- Documenting the inventory of art monuments based on comprehensive source and literature studies
- On-site investigations, textual processing according to "The Inventory of the Art Monuments of Switzerland. Guidelines 2017" of the GSK ( Unchanged edition of the 1984 guidelines approved and declared binding by the GSK board )
- Obtaining illustration material such as photos and plans
- Collaboration in technical production
Your profile
- Completed university degree in Art History (MA) with a focus on Architectural History. Practical experience in inventorying is an advantage
- Research and publication experience in the field of Architectural History (Medieval - 20th century)
- Ability to independently organise and carry out the specified scientific work
- Good ability to formulate clear scientific texts in German
- Skill in dealing with owners and representatives of historic buildings as well as authorities and specialists
