Introduction
The canton of Geneva has five Public Real Estate Foundations (FIDP) which together manage a portfolio of more than 8,700 HBM housing units subject to the General Housing Law (LGL). To support them in their daily management tasks, the SECRETARIAT OF PUBLIC REAL ESTATE FOUNDATIONS (SFIDP) team provides advice and assistance in administrative, accounting, technical, and legal matters. To strengthen our teams, we are currently looking for a:
YOUR MAIN TASKS:
- Manage contentious files upstream and/or during proceedings (payment defaults, neighbour disputes, etc.);
- Handle various judicial procedures (reporting to adult protection, etc.);
- Collaborate with the different services of SFIDP and FIDP;
- Maintain regular communication with the canton’s social authorities in the context of monitoring disputes and/or judicial procedures;
- Work with our agents, partners, and caretakers;
- Advise tenants on social follow-up matters;
- Conduct occasional assessment interviews with housing applicants;
- Establish and monitor dashboards related to these activities.
YOUR PROFILE:
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work from HES-SO, or an equivalent qualification;
- You have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience and possess confirmed knowledge of the Geneva social fabric, as well as a strong interest in housing issues;
- You have knowledge of tenancy law;
- You have significant experience in the real estate sector, which is an asset;
- You have a positive mindset, are solution-oriented, and have good synthesis skills;
- You can manage deadlines and priorities and are methodical and rigorous in file follow-up;
- You are proactive and have recognised social ease.
