Job Description
Your mission
- Support beneficiaries of Hospice général housed in emergency and temporary accommodation in finding permanent housing;
- Strengthen housing expertise within the institution by developing partnerships with housing and accommodation stakeholders;
- Monitor existing schemes and propose accommodation solutions adapted to beneficiaries' needs.
Your main activities
- You are a key internal contact for all issues related to housing or emergency or temporary accommodation (telephone helpline and within HG units);
- You are a resourceful and expert collaborator in housing and accommodation matters and keep informed of developments and needs in accommodation. You act as a reference for partners as well as institution staff;
- You organise and lead information sessions, helplines, and workshops related to housing search for Hospice général staff, partners, or at the Social Information Office;
- You provide social support related to housing for people in accommodation or precarious housing in collaboration with the referring social workers, aiming for them to access sustainable housing or an accommodation solution adapted to their needs;
- You support the referring social workers by promoting and disseminating best practices in accommodation and housing;
- You act as a mediator and facilitator of exchanges with partners and referring social workers and/or beneficiaries to create an environment of collaboration and mutual support;
- You participate in various accommodation projects;
- You develop and maintain relationships with partners in the accommodation network and hoteliers both internally and externally to Hospice général.
Qualifications
Your profile
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in social work, human or social sciences, or an equivalent qualification;
- You have a strong interest in housing issues;
- You have good adaptability and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team;
- You are flexible and willing to work irregular hours;
- You demonstrate dynamism, initiative, and a great deal of creativity to successfully carry out your activities;
- Good current use of common IT tools.
