Purchasing Specialist with Technical Flair (80-100%) (m/f/d)

Role:
Do you want to take independent responsibility in purchasing while working strategically and operationally? In this position, you manage the procurement of demanding technical components for several production sites. You develop your supplier network further, keep an eye on costs and supply security, and contribute your ideas to the further development of purchasing processes.
Responsibilities:
You independently manage technical product groups and coordinate procurement for various manufacturing sites.
You develop economical purchasing strategies based on cost analyses, supplier evaluations, and potential supply risks.
You build national and international supplier relationships and purposefully develop existing partnerships.
You ensure reliable material supply, monitor delivery quantities and deadlines, and respond early to potential bottlenecks.
You handle quality deviations, complaints, and product returns together with the responsible departments.
You optimise purchase prices and procurement costs considering all incurred costs.
You create medium- to long-term quantity forecasts based on sales planning and coordinate these with your suppliers.
You maintain material, inventory, and purchasing data in SAP MM and ensure a reliable data basis.
You support make-or-buy decisions and assess different procurement options.
You work closely with production, engineering, quality, and logistics, taking sustainability and compliance requirements into account.
Qualifications:
You have successfully completed a technical or commercial apprenticeship with a federal certificate of competence (EFZ).
You have several years of experience in purchasing technical industrial products.
You possess a strong understanding of technical contexts and can assess the economic impact of procurement decisions.
You are familiar with SAP MM and use the system confidently in daily purchasing operations.
Ideally, you have good Excel skills, especially for evaluations, calculations, and planning.
You communicate in English at least at level B2.
You convince through conceptual thinking and the ability to assess complex contexts in a structured manner.
