The European Payments Market and Product Expansion Team is a dynamic and diverse Product team responsible for product strategy, development, commercialization and local relevance of payment products across the region. The products developed will be used by the global financial institutions and corporations executing payments and will focus on streamlining the client experience while reducing operational costs and risks within the current model.
As Payments Market and Product Expansion Vice President within the Payments Market and Product Expansion team, you will be the voice of the local ecosystem—customers, regulators, schemes, fintech partners—and translate those needs into scalable, compliant, and commercially sound product roadmaps. You will partner closely with Product, Sales, Client Service, Operations, Legal/Compliance, and Technology to expand our Payments footprint in the Swiss market, ensuring solutions resonate locally while aligning to our global platform strategy.
We are seeking a market-facing product strategist to accelerate JPMorgan Payments’ growth by shaping product strategy grounded in deep local requirements and driving successful product roll-outs and adoption in Switzerland.
Job responsibilities
- Serve as the voice of the market
- Represent regulators, clients, partners, and Sales to ensure their requirements are captured, prioritized, and reflected in product roadmaps and delivery plans
- Maintain up-to-date expertise on local regulations, scheme rules, ecosystem nuances, and customer pain points to guide product positioning and feature prioritization.
- Secure market approvals and define local requirements
- Support Product Management with market approval processes, including regulator and government interactions, licensing, scheme certifications, and required attestations
- Review local regulatory and operational requirements into clear actionable steps for product delivery; align with global platform capabilities and define necessary localizations.
- Interface with regulators and schemes, and work with partners to validate local readiness (e.g., SLAs, support models, data residency, resiliency, and controls).
- Lead pilot/early adopter programs and resolve localization gaps before scale-up.
- Advocate for market expansion opportunities, including new corridors, use cases, and partnerships; develop business cases and influence prioritization.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Significant payments, fintech, or banking with deep exposure to Swiss payment rails, schemes, and regulatory environments.
- Proven experience in product strategy, market entry/expansion, and go-to-market execution for payment solutions (e.g., instant payments, ACH, cards, cross-border, wallets, collections/disbursements).
- Fluency in English and German
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and effective under pressure
- Strong understanding of end-to-end payment flows, client onboarding, KYC/AML, sanctions, reconciliation, and operational support models.
- Excellent stakeholder management, including engagement with regulators, schemes, partners, and cross-functional internal teams.
- Analytical and data-driven, with experience defining KPIs and operating dashboards to steer commercialization and growth initiatives.

- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
