About the job
Do you think in terms of structures rather than case by case? Do you want not only to identify criminal networks but to dismantle them sustainably? Then integrate your analytical skills into the newly created interdisciplinary group and work with teams of investigators on particularly complex criminal investigations in the field of organised and structured crime.
Your tasks
- Detect and identify criminal activities through criminal, operational and strategic analysis investigations, in close collaboration with internal and external partners (police officers, public prosecutors, fedpol, etc.)
- Analyse and prepare complex data and information sets, evaluate data, indications and surveillance results
- Assist operational units through files on networks of persons and phenomena, pattern recognition, sometimes through visualisation and programming of automations and, depending on the situation, participate in investigation groups
- Use digital research possibilities, OSINT tools and information systems
- Develop methods, processes and standards – also from the perspective of digitalisation
Your profile
- University or higher education – for example in data science, criminology, mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics – including acquired and deepened methodological and statistical skills
- Experience in data analysis and structured evaluation of complex data sets
- Ability to understand and combine quickly, very good imagination and strong interest in specialised software, including corresponding programming knowledge
- Experience in an independent and structured working method, analytical mind, innovation and tenacity
- Writing skills, ability to work in a team, willingness to pursue further training, confident and convincing attitude
