Technical Project Manager / Solution Architect - Microsoft 365 & Open Source (22178)

Task

For one of our clients from the federal administration environment in Bern, we are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager / Solution Architect for a long-term and strategically significant project in the area of Digital Workplace, Microsoft 365 and Open Source.
You will work in a two-person team, primarily taking on the technical project management, coordination and architecture-related responsibility. The aim of the programme is to develop an alternative office automation solution and to ensure interoperability between existing Microsoft environments and open-source solutions.
 
Your tasks include:

• Technical project management and coordination within a complex ICT/Workplace programme
• Planning, organising and moderating technical workshops with various specialists
• Coordination and alignment between architecture, engineering, security, operations and other stakeholders
• Development and evaluation of various solution options for interoperability between Microsoft and open-source environments
• Participation in technical and architectural decision-making bases
• Identification and assessment of technical dependencies and risks
• Participation in the creation of HERMES results such as studies, test, migration and implementation concepts
• Support in analysing specialist applications regarding their dependencies on Microsoft Office and their compatibility with open-source software
• Close collaboration with the second senior engineer as well as the client’s internal specialists

If you have your own GmbH or AG in Switzerland, billing can be done through this. Otherwise, as usual, via the IQ PLUS payroll. The workload is approximately 80% on a build-up basis.Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, Lead Engineer, Solution Architect or in a comparable technically leading role
• Very good experience with complex enterprise ICT, digital workplace or office automation environments
• Sound understanding of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office and Windows-based workplace architectures
• Experience in solution architecture, system integration and technical dependency analyses
• Knowledge of Linux and open-source technologies as well as interest in Microsoft/OSS interoperability
• Experience in creating and evaluating technical solution options and decision bases
• Experience in collaboration with architecture, engineering, security and operations
• Good knowledge of HERMES and practical experience with corresponding project results
• HERMES certification is an advantage
• Impeccable reputation
• Experience with agile approaches as well as Jira/Confluence is an advantage
