IT Application & Infrastructure Manager (m/f/d)

The scope of activities includes emergency power generators, battery storage systems, transport refrigeration machines, as well as complete service for diesel engines – from overhauls to spare parts to technical support. A versatile IT professional is sought for a Swiss SME in the technical service environment to ensure the stable operation of the system landscape while simultaneously driving digital development forward. This role involves a great deal of personal responsibility in designing and optimising internal IT processes.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring ongoing IT operations and handling support requests
Support and development of central business applications, especially ERP systems and Microsoft 365
Independent administration of Microsoft 365 and coordination of other technical systems
Planning and implementation of digitalisation projects considering benefits, effort, and costs
Technical and economic management of external IT service providers
Advising management on technical decisions and strategic IT issues
Qualifications:
Technical basic training with a federal certificate of competence (EFZ) and further education in the IT field, an IT degree, or comparable practical experience
Experience in supporting ERP systems, ideally SAP Business One, as well as in Microsoft 365 administration
Experience in leading IT or digitalisation projects and solid project management knowledge
Experience working with external IT service providers and consulting partners
Economic thinking, pragmatic solution orientation, and a good sense of effort and benefit
Assertiveness, independent working style, and good German language skills
