RUNWAY RAMP SUPERVISOR (M/F/D)
LOCATION | ZURICH AIRPORT
STARTING SALARY | 5452.- CHF/MONTH, SALARY AFTER PROMOTION TO SUPERVISOR | 5806.- CHF/MONTH
TRAINING DURATION | APPROX. 12 MONTHS
Your duties from the start of employment:
- Loading and unloading aircraft as part of a team
- Operating and driving light and heavy handling equipment to transport luggage, freight, mail, etc.
- Completing various training and qualification modules in ground handling and airport operations
- Building a long-term career foundation with development opportunities in specialist and leadership roles at Swissport
After successful training and suitability, additional responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for the operational leadership of a group of operational workers in daily operations
- Contact and coordination with various interfaces such as Load Control, Transport, Pilots, and Team Managers of the ramp department
- Monitoring loading and unloading while considering all regulations and safety requirements
What you bring:

- German language skills at least level C1, basic English
- Flexibility for irregular working hours (05:00–23:30, and availability for at least 3 full weekends per month)
- Driving licence category B as well as residence permit B, C, G or Swiss passport/ID

Flexible deployment models on an hourly wage basis:
- FIX MODEL | You offer us Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday as fixed, unrestricted deployment days and have one weekend off request per month. That is 14 days per month.
- BLOCK MODEL | You offer us at least 18 days per month (including at least 3 full weekends), during which you are available unrestricted from 5:00 to 23:30, the remaining days you will not be scheduled.
- OFFER MODEL | You offer us at least 14 days per month (at least 3 full weekends), during which you are available unrestricted from 5:00 to 23:30 or on which you can choose early or late shifts, the remaining days you will not be scheduled.
Monthly salary FLEX:
- Starting salary of 5452.- CHF/month (4552 CHF + 900 CHF allowances), after promotion to supervisor 5806.- CHF/month (4906 CHF + 900 CHF allowances)
- Up to 8 split shifts per month
- Split shifts are divided shifts with a break of 2 to 2.5 hours
