Solution Architect - Azure Cloud (m/f/d)

Role:
You don’t just want to evaluate cloud technologies but actively shape the technological direction? In this role, you combine strategic architectural thinking with concrete support for ongoing projects. You create clear standards, evaluate solution approaches, and ensure that new cloud and SaaS services are sensibly embedded in the existing IT landscape. You operate at the interface of technology, security, and business and help various stakeholders make sustainable decisions.
Responsibilities:
You strategically and conceptually further develop the existing cloud and SaaS architecture and align it with the organisation’s long-term requirements.
You define binding architectural principles, technical standards, and best practices for cloud and SaaS platforms.
You accompany projects during cloud transformations and support them in selecting and implementing suitable technologies.
You review architectural concepts, question solution designs, and grant architectural approvals from an IT architecture perspective.
You coordinate the integration of new cloud and SaaS solutions into existing application, data, and security architectures.
You ensure that security, compliance, and governance requirements are considered in cloud solutions.
You evaluate new cloud technologies and prepare comprehensible decision bases for the further development of the IT landscape.
You work closely with data and integration architecture, IT security, project managers, business units, and external providers.
Qualifications:
You have a higher education in computer science (FH, HF or university) or an equivalent qualification.
You bring several years of professional experience in an architectural role, for example as a cloud architect, infrastructure architect, or solution architect.
You have solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure, cloud-native approaches, Kubernetes, and microservices.
You understand the key aspects of cloud security, identity & access management, networking, platform services, and hybrid cloud environments.
You have experience defining architectural requirements for cloud platforms provided via infrastructure as code and automation with Terraform.
You have a good understanding of enterprise architecture and its interplay with technical implementation.
You make well-founded decisions, take responsibility, and consistently pursue projects through to implementation.
You communicate technical contexts appropriately for the audience and mediate between business, IT, and external partners.
You have fluent German language skills.
