As a Cyber Security Engineer, you are part of our security team and contribute to continuously developing our security architecture, detecting threats early, and professionally handling security incidents.

Your tasks

• Independently planning, coordinating, and driving security work packages – from conception to implementation
• Developing and optimising detection engineering approaches for early identification of cyber threats
• Designing secure platforms and networks as well as evaluating, designing, and integrating complex security solutions, processes, and tools
• Analysing and prioritising security alerts and continuously optimising detection mechanisms 
• Conducting and supporting vulnerability management from detection to patching 
• Conducting and supporting hardening tests and security audits
• Participating in security incidents and in the regulated 24/7 on-call service

We are looking for doers

• Completed studies in computer science, cyber security, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• Initial practical experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or a comparable security environment
• Experience with SIEM systems, ideally Splunk Enterprise, as well as other security tools
• Broad knowledge in cyber security and IT, especially in handling Windows and Linux platforms
• Understanding of modern cloud and SaaS architectures 
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
