Früh Verpackungstechnik AG is a successful Swiss industrial company based in Fehraltorf with around 700 employees. We are a leading contract packer as well as a manufacturer of flexible packaging solutions for medical technology and pharmaceutical products.

We are looking to strengthen our team in Fehraltorf with a:

Packaging Development Engineer (m/f, 100%)

At Früh Verpackungstechnik, we develop complex and customised packaging solutions that are used worldwide in the medical technology and pharmaceutical industries. From conception through validation and qualification to planning, production and delivery, we meet the highest standards – for the safety and quality of the products we package. Together with our customers, we continually create new possibilities to further optimise the protection of medical, pharmaceutical and other high-quality products.

We are looking to strengthen our engineering team in the flexible packaging area in Fehraltorf with a:

Your role with us:

• Development of packaging solutions from the quotation phase to handover to series production
• Technical management of customer projects in close collaboration with the customer as well as internal departments such as production, sales, laboratory, quality and regulatory affairs
• Central contact person for your assigned customer base for technical questions throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Planning and execution of process validations as well as operations or performance qualifications of manufacturing processes (printing, laminating, roll cutting, sealing, pouch production)
• Evaluation and introduction of new materials, technologies and processes to further develop our packaging solutions
• Support for production and quality departments in optimisation projects, customer complaints and other technical issues
• Support in the further development of quality management according to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485

Your profile:

• Higher technical or scientific education (e.g. mechanical engineering, materials science, plastics, packaging or process engineering)
• Good knowledge of packaging materials, packaging technologies and manufacturing processes, preferably in medical technology or a regulated environment with an understanding of risk management and technical documentation
• Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards and regulatory requirements of our product markets (e.g. MDR, FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 11607, Ph. Eur., REACH, EU 10/2011, PPWR)
• Interest in technical challenges in the packaging sector, especially innovative and sustainable solutions
• Structured, independent and results-oriented working style with strong customer focus
• Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
