About the job
The MSW is a training center of the city of Winterthur for technical vocational apprenticeships in the field of mechatronics. Thanks to the combination of the three learning locations under one roof, theory and practice can be optimally coordinated. This comprehensive training enables learners to transfer to the university of applied sciences, and the MSW is an alternative to academic education. The MSW trains learners in the professions of automation, electronics, and polymechanics. Are you ready to pass on your enthusiasm for the English language to young people? As of September 1, 2026, we are looking for a committed vocational school teacher – whether with many years of experience or as a motivated career starter. The workload will be gradually increased in the coming years and will open up exciting opportunities for you to develop both professionally and in your role.Your Tasks
- English lessons in the 2nd and 3rd year of education (two lessons on Tuesdays throughout the year, possibly two lessons on Thursdays in the autumn semester)
- Preparation of learners for the Cambridge tests over five semesters
- Preparation and follow-up as well as conducting the lessons
- Support and assistance to learners in their personal and language development
Your Profile
- Training as a vocational school teacher, in training, or equivalent qualification
- Experience in preparing for Cambridge certificates as well as in teaching English
- Professional experience in dealing with learners or students
- Team-oriented, flexible, and cooperative personality
- Independent and responsible way of working
- Good IT user skills (MS 365)
