METAS – the Federal Institute of Metrology – is the reference institute in Switzerland for measurements and measuring instruments. To ensure that a litre is always a litre (for example when you fill up), METAS carries out calibrations, conformity assessments and provides advice to industry, research and administration. A trusted source, especially socially and politically, metrological accuracy is essential in many fields: road traffic, electricity billing, time dissemination, environmental and health measurements, and more. In short, at METAS, disciplines have been interacting and communicating since 1862.
Your tasks
- Operate and develop our Microsoft cloud and hybrid IT infrastructures, ensuring their security, stability and availability
- Design and implement modern workplace solutions with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID and other Microsoft 365 services
- Leverage new capabilities to make daily collaboration more effective and develop collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive – in collaboration with the Digital Transformation team
- Optimise existing solutions by automating them and applying technical standards, thereby ensuring reliable operation
- Actively share your expertise with the IT and Technology team, take on technical responsibilities and promote knowledge transfer as well as skills development in workplace and collaboration environments
Your profile
- Education in IT and at least five years of relevant professional experience, including several years in engineering and operation of workplace and Microsoft Cloud environments
- Proven practical knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially regarding the operation and development of Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Exchange Online
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID and hybrid IT environments, and ideally some knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- Experience in independently designing and implementing complex technical solutions, automation, Microsoft 365 governance and PowerShell
- Autonomy, analytical skills, willingness to find solutions and share your knowledge with your team, readiness to provide on-call support with colleagues at weekends
