We offer you a position in the Enforcement division as
Main Responsibilities
- Conducting investigations against companies that may be in breach of financial market authorisation requirements
- Financial market legal assessment of the activities identified in the investigated companies
- Developing measures to protect investors and to enforce financial market authorisation requirements
- Representing the investigations and analyses conducted before FINMA's decision-making bodies
- Contributing to the consolidation and further development of enforcement practice
Profile
- Completed Master’s degree in law from a Swiss university
- Bar admission, LL.M. or doctorate
- Several years of relevant professional experience, particularly in a larger law firm, a financial institution or an authority
- Interest in fintech topics and technology-based business models
- Knowledge in the area of regulatory scope or investigative experience is an advantage
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Very good German (C2) and English skills (C1), French or Italian skills (B1) are an advantage
Perspectives
The Unauthorised Activities Investigations team conducts investigations against companies that may be in breach of financial market authorisation requirements. You will have the opportunity to independently lead your own investigations and engage intensively with the companies’ business models and the various authorisation requirements (including under the Banking Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, Financial Institutions Act, Collective Investment Schemes Act, Insurance Supervision Act). This will provide you with an in-depth insight into diverse and innovative offerings on the Swiss financial market, including in the blockchain and fintech sectors. You can apply your investigative skills and enforce financial market law through appropriate measures.
