With around 1,400 employees, Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as for the implementation of various types of detention. Our employees from around 40 professions support and promote the reintegration of offenders and are committed effectively and progressively to a safe and just society.
The Psychiatric-Psychological Service (PPD) is one of the eight main departments of JuWe. As one of the largest institutions for forensic psychotherapy and psychiatry in Switzerland, it specialises in relapse-preventive treatment of violent and sexual offenders in custody and in the community. The treatment offerings range from court-ordered measures to therapies within basic psychiatric care.
To strengthen our dedicated treatment team in the area of Inpatient Adult Forensics (StEF), we are looking for a motivated milieu therapeutic specialist for the Forensic Psychiatric Department (FPA). The position is fixed-term for one year.
Your tasks
- Key worker duties with treatment planning and support of a pro-social and treatment-promoting milieu
- Development and implementation of individual case-related milieu therapeutic treatment measures taking into account the psychological and physical resources of the measure clients
- Participation in ensuring and further developing reliable correctional-organisational and security-relevant processes in the FPA (e.g. ensuring hygiene, catering, laundry changes, sick reports and mail)
- Planning, conducting and evaluating accompanied therapeutic outings and leaves with the measure clients
Your profile
- Completed training as a qualified nurse HF, preferably with a focus on psychiatry
- Ideally experience in the penal system, especially in the areas of care as well as work and occupation
- Mature, resilient and conflict-capable personality with pronounced relational competence
- Strong team and communication skills as well as enjoyment of a trusting and constructive collaboration
- You are open to an interdisciplinary way of working and willing to learn continuously
- An impeccable reputation (no entries in the criminal record or debt enforcement register)
