Tasks
Together with a motivated team consisting of educational professionals, you will intensively accompany a 9-year-old student on the autism spectrum, with cognitive impairments as well as self- and externally injurious behavior, in his daily school life. You accompany the youth in a 1:1 setting and therefore do not work in a fixed class group. You belong to a small team that is solely responsible for the accompaniment and schooling of this student. Regular exchange and consultations within this team are required.
Requirements
We are looking for a motivated and empathetic personality with training in social pedagogy or as a care specialist. Ideally, you have already gained experience in dealing with people on the autism spectrum and with challenging behaviors. You are characterized by an independent and reliable way of working and are physically and mentally very resilient. You enjoy contributing as part of a team. At the same time, you also like to work independently and sometimes on your own. You can approach the challenges related to accompanying the student with the necessary professionalism and calmness.
We Offer
Our culture is characterized by appreciation and openness. In your role, you take on a lot of responsibility and receive the corresponding scope for design. You work in a motivated and well-coordinated team. Our employment conditions, based on cantonal framework conditions, are attractive. Learn more about this on our website (www.blindenschule.ch).
