Role:
Cyberattacks do not wait for the next project milestone. That is exactly why a growing Security Operations Center needs a SOC Operations Manager who keeps an overview and sets clear priorities. You bring internal specialist departments, the external security service provider and IT management together at one table. At the same time, you roll up your sleeves during the setup phase and assess potential incidents. Responsibility, freedom to shape and visible impact are part of the package.
Responsibilities:
You ensure the smooth operation of the SOC services and drive their optimisation step by step
In the event of security incidents, you keep control and manage the incident response until resolution
This is complemented by close coordination with internal IT operations, external service providers and those responsible for information security
You initiate proactive measures such as threat hunting, provide meaningful reports and support audits
Furthermore, you manage budgets, costs as well as contracts and suppliers
You also lead projects aimed at further expanding the security services
Qualifications:
A university degree in computer science, business informatics or IT security forms your basis, alternatively a comparable qualification
Certifications in information security and project management complement your career
You have several years of experience in operational information security, including in vulnerability management and threat intelligence
The practical use of SIEM, SOAR and XDR is part of your daily routine; you are familiar with both Windows and Linux systems
Your demeanour, persuasiveness and keen eye for customer needs distinguish you
Additionally, you think structurally, enjoy solving problems analytically and are fluent in both written and spoken German and English
