Senior Java / Camunda 8 Software Engineer – Digital Client Onboarding (Banking)

Job description:

• New development, further development, and operation of services within a DevOps team
• Introduction, use, and establishment of Camunda 8 including knowledge transfer and upskilling of the existing team
• Design and implementation of digital processes and workflows with Camunda 8
• Development of modern solutions with Java, Angular, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Maven, and PostgreSQL
• Review of developed solutions according to internal and external security standards
• Continuous optimisation and further development of operational processes
• Conceptual collaboration and active shaping of services and architecture
• Consulting the business department regarding technical feasibility, solution variants, and impacts
• Close cooperation with product owners, business engineers, and architecture

For a demanding project in the Swiss banking environment, we are looking for an experienced individual as a Senior Java / Camunda 8 Software Engineer starting 1 November 2026.

Requirements:

• Several years of experience as a Software Engineer / Application Developer, ideally in the banking or financial sector
• Very good and proven experience with Camunda 8, especially in the design and implementation of processes
• Very good knowledge of Java and Angular
• Solid experience with Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Maven, SQL, and PostgreSQL
• Proven experience in client onboarding, digital product opening, or client lifecycle management within the last three years
• Experience with agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban as well as a pronounced DevOps mindset
• Knowledge of Git, IntelliJ, Jenkins, Sonar, and JIRA
• Experience with Kotlin as well as cloud and container technologies such as Kubernetes/AKS and Docker is an advantage
• Completed studies in computer science or comparable professional experience
• Communicative and team-oriented personality with enthusiasm for collaboration between IT and business
• German at least C1, English at least B2
