The Appenzell Ausserrhoden Hospital Network, comprising the Herisau Acute Hospital and the AR Psychiatric Centre in Herisau, ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.
We are looking for
In the acute somatic care sector under the leadership of Ms Dagmar Steinle, we are seeking immediately or by arrangement a team leader for the intensive care unit with a workload of 80-100%.
The intensive care unit consists of six nursing beds, including two ventilated beds.

- Professional and personnel responsibility for the intensive care unit nursing team
- Nursing professional responsibility for the intensive care unit with six nursing beds, including two ventilated beds
- Ensuring qualitative nursing care for patients requiring intensive care through efficient personnel deployment planning
- Professional and empathetic support of patients and relatives in crisis situations
- Close cooperation with the medical management of intensive care and nursing management
- Continuous qualitative review of processes and development of standards and concepts
Therefore, we want you
- You are a qualified nurse, male or female, or a health and nursing professional with Swiss recognition
- A completed further education as a certified expert NDS Intensive Care is mandatory for this position
- Leadership experience and further leadership training are prerequisites for this position
- You gladly take on responsibility and enjoy shaping and further developing new processes
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
- You live a pronounced team spirit and maintain a patient-oriented working style
- You demonstrate a high level of commitment and responsibly advocate for the well-being of patients
- You enjoy working in a small, dedicated, reliable, and motivated team
