Data Platform Engineer
The Database and Storage Systems leadership unit in IT infrastructure provides central data platforms and forms the basis for the productive and operational IT operations. It uses modern technologies to ensure the availability, processing and provision of data as well as their protection. Through consistent automation, operational efficiency, scalability and traceability in operations are increased. The workplace is in Zurich.
- Building, operating and further developing on-premises infrastructure platforms on Linux servers and OpenShift;
- Building, integrating and operating data platform components based on Kafka and Elasticsearch;
- Automating infrastructure, configurations and deployments with Ansible, Puppet, Python and Bash;
- Providing on-call service in 2nd level support.
- Degree in computer science, engineering or a similar field (FH/Uni/ETH);
- Expertise: Red Hat Linux, OpenShift, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Python, Bash, GitLab
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation and GitOps principles, especially with ArgoCD, GitLab and Ansible;
- Fluent in German or French as well as English.
