As an Application DBA, you take responsibility for the operation, analysis and further development of central database and application processes in the Finnova environment. You work closely with the business units, application management teams and technical operations units and make an important contribution to the stability, performance and quality of business-critical systems.

What is your scope for design?

• You professionally and applicatively manage central operational and maintenance processes around the long-term archive LZA/LZS, the Finnova core as well as reorganisation, data cleansing and archiving.

• You accompany and conduct data deletions and data anonymisations and support corresponding framework installations and deployments.

• You analyse resource requirements, data growth, housekeeping topics, statistics as well as performance and runtime behaviour and derive concrete measures from them.

• You evaluate AWR, ASH and baseline reports and thus support performance analyses, capacity planning and early detection of bottlenecks.

• You analyse SQL statements, carry out analysis tasks from the Finnova environment and support application management teams with SQL, PL/SQL, alerting and afterclone SQL.

• You analyse operational disruptions, support their resolution and actively participate in the coordination, communication and documentation of incidents.

What do you bring with you?

• Experience in applicative database operation as well as with Linux (RHEL), ideally in the banking or financial services environment
• Familiarity with Oracle databases, advantageously complemented by knowledge of AWR, ASH and baseline reports
• Solid SQL knowledge and interest in analysing database processes as well as performance optimisation
• Structured, analytical and solution-oriented approach to complex issues
• Independent working style with enthusiasm for actively driving topics forward
• Very good German language skills, both spoken and written
• Knowledge of Finnova is a plus, alternatively willingness to deepen knowledge in this environment
