Executive Chef (m/f)
Job DescriptionYour responsibilities include managing four F&B outlets, developing and owning the vision and values of the culinary strategy as well as seasonal concepts for delightful sensory experiences. You control and optimise all kitchen processes with a focus on quality and costs, prepare the inventory at the end of the season, monitor goods usage and ordering, as well as quality standards. You comply with hygiene and food regulations according to the HACCP concept. Additionally, you ensure the correct storage of all food and products, take overall responsibility and lead a team of around 12 employees, whom you also select, onboard, and develop. You create the duty roster using Mirus. You enjoy working with local suppliers.
Desired ProfileYou have completed vocational training as a cook or a comparable qualification. You possess several years of professional experience as a head chef or sous chef in upscale 4- or 5-star hotels. You work in a structured, independent manner and enjoy personal guest contact with a committed leadership style. You speak German and ideally have knowledge of a foreign language. You are a team player and remain focused even in stressful situations. Flexibility, strong communication skills, and reliability complete your profile.
You will enjoy staff accommodation in the car-free Alpine city of Zermatt (approx. 10-15 minutes on foot from the hotel, for single use), free use of the swimming pool (until 3 pm), discounts for selected local shops and mountain railways, bonuses for successful employee referrals, a 5-day week with 43.5 hours at 100%, a total of 5 weeks’ holiday and 6 public holidays per year (according to LGAV), as well as a 13th-month salary (pro rata).
