About the job

The position is aimed at applicants with solid insurance expertise as well as applicants with a technical background and many years of experience who wish to apply their expertise in an exciting and demanding insurance environment.

Your main tasks

• Analysis of submissions, including risk assessment and evaluation, as well as preparation of offers in technical insurance (construction, assembly, machinery), including negotiations with clients and brokers
• Acquisition and underwriting of new business as well as expansion of existing business in the national and international industrial segment
• Administrative processing, implementation and monitoring of national contracts as well as international programmes, including incoming enquiries
• Development and maintenance of business relationships with clients and brokers Regular contact with the claims department for mutual exchange of experience
• Participation in cross-sector total client management
• Active involvement in sales and product development tasks

What you bring

You bring one of the following profiles:

• Many years of solid experience in the insurance industry, especially in technical insurance, including further training at the specialist certificate / insurance diploma level or an equivalent qualification;

or

• A completed technical education in the field of machinery, electrical or construction (Federal Professional Examination, HF, FH or ETH) with at least 10 years of professional experience
• Experience in the insurance industry or in technical insurance is an advantage for applicants with a technical profile
• Knowledge of international insurance programmes is mandatory for classification at senior level
• Flawless German and English skills, both spoken and written; French skills are an advantage
• Good to very good negotiation, communication and sales flairProficient user knowledge of MS Office products
• Strong team skills combined with an independent and responsible way of working
