Tasks
Recording criminal reports: You record the received criminal reports according to prescribed guidelines, modify various data and prepare them for further processing.
Accompanying visit approvals: You act as deputy during visit approvals. In doing so, you accompany relatives of remand prisoners.
Contact person: You are the contact person for internal and external matters.
Administration: You perform general administrative tasks.
Profile
Experience: You have several years of professional experience, preferably in a comparable role. You are proficient in using common IT systems. An impeccable reputation is essential. A category B driving licence is desirable, as you may also undertake official journeys if required.
Personality: Your strengths include precise and efficient working methods, flexibility, mental resilience, assertiveness, teamwork skills, a quick grasp of new information, and the willingness to familiarise yourself with new IT programmes.
Education: You have completed a two-year commercial apprenticeship (EBA).
Language: You have flawless spoken and written German skills. Additional language skills are an advantage.

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Basel-Stadt, which is administratively attached to the Department of Justice and Security, conducts criminal proceedings for crimes, misdemeanours and offences. It initiates and represents the prosecution and issues penal orders as well as other final decisions such as dismissal, suspension, non-prosecution or transfer. Additionally, the Public Prosecutor's Office provides both national and international legal assistance in criminal matters. These tasks are central to the administration of justice and the safety of the people in Basel-Stadt and beyond.
