About the job

To complement our «Fugu» daycare team, we are looking for an intern starting August 2026 or by arrangement

«Fugu» daycares are a private operation aimed at expanding family-supportive childcare at attractive locations. Our daycare is located in the Höngg district in the city of Zurich. We have 380 m2 of bright modern rooms and a 50 m2 large terrace available. Large and beautiful playgrounds are located nearby. Due to the central location, our daycare is easily accessible by public transport. Our cook provides delicious and healthy meals daily for the children and all staff. The daycare is designed for 4 groups. Opening hours are from 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.

How brave are you? Working with children is full of life and you will never be bored. As an intern, you will gain your first experiences in the professional world. We accompany you on your path with care and empathy and support you with our expertise. You will learn the basics of childcare and will be allowed to take on more responsibility continuously. It is important to us that your backpack is full of knowledge and experience at the end of the internship year. This way, you will feel ready to start training as a childcare professional.

TASKS

• Collaborate in the meaningful and appropriate design of everyday life
• Support the group leader in managing the children’s group based on the educational principles of the «Fugu» daycares
• Gain first professional experiences under guidance
• Co-organize celebrations, festivals, and events

REQUIREMENTS

• Completed compulsory schooling
• Joy and interest in working with children and in a team
• Very good oral and written German skills
• Reliable and resilient
• Self-reflection, willingness to develop further
• Good manners
