YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Development and implementation of category strategies for service-relevant material groups (spare parts, wear parts, main inspections, services) within the traction chain (excluding traction batteries)
- Proactive co-design and further development of the product group strategy in coordination with the manufacturing plants
- Identification of cost reduction potentials as well as implementation of continuous improvements, especially with regard to TCO optimisations
- Conducting thorough supply chain analyses
- Benchmarking of international markets and deriving corresponding optimisation and procurement measures
- Building, maintaining and actively managing relevant supplier relationships
- Leading complex price and contract negotiations as well as concluding long-term contracts
- Close collaboration with Engineering, Service Operations and other relevant stakeholders
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Completed studies in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in strategic purchasing or category management – ideally in an industrial environment or in the rail-related sector
- High competence in dealing with complex systems as well as a strong affinity for commercial and economic contexts
- Proven experience in conducting international negotiations
- Very strong analytical skills and a pronounced understanding of fact-based decision-making
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a clear result and solution orientation
- Fluent English and German skills, each negotiation-secure in spoken and written form
- Confident, conscientious handling of Office applications and their effective use in everyday work
