About the job

Rüti ZH is an attractive and dynamic residential and working community with around 13,000 inhabitants –
nestled in a recreational area on the south-eastern edge of the canton of Zurich. Since 1 January 2022, the school and municipality have been organised as a unified municipality.

About 1,300 pupils attend the Rüti school in the three managed school units: Unterdorf and Oberdorf primary schools as well as the secondary school. The day-care structures and the school administration support the various school stakeholders in everyday school life.

Your challenges

• Management and development of the education sector to ensure high educational quality and continuous school development
• Implementation of political and strategic goals
• Personnel management of the eight school principals, the head of the special education department, and the head of day-care structures
• Position and personnel planning in the education sector
• Communication and public relations in collaboration with various offices
• Cost centre responsibility for the education sector
• Advice and support for the school board, especially in pedagogical, school law and education-specific matters

Your profile

• You have a pedagogical qualification and preferably professional experience in primary education
• Ideally, you have an additional qualification in school management or a
• comparable MAS degree as well as experience in project management
• Proven leadership experience with a flair for developing people and organisations characterises you
• With solid social and methodological skills, you solve daily challenges systematically, efficiently and pragmatically
• Your resilience is high and even in hectic times you maintain your calm and humour
• You have the ability to communicate solution-oriented in a situation-appropriate manner and to follow up creative ideas in a structured way
• Knowledge of the primary school system of the canton of Zurich completes your profile
