The Research Service is part of the criminal police and provides important services to the entire Bern Cantonal Police. Our research service employees support their colleagues in the criminal police and other divisions through their varied field of activity. They intervene, for example, in the reporting of objects, vehicles and persons, in searches and the identification of links between offences, in archiving and intelligence work, as well as in processing search requests. And this, twenty-four hours a day.
Your tasks
- Entry, processing, analysis and archiving of data in computer systems and support in criminal police and security work
- Creation of Ripol reports and dissemination of search notices
- Responses to information requests from internal and external services
- Processing of investigation mandates and requests for judicial assistance from external prosecuting authorities and forwarding these to the competent services
- After an integration period (of about one year), you will occasionally perform night, weekend and evening shifts within our 24-hour operating structure
Your profile
- Completed vocational training and experience as a commercial employee
- Very good knowledge of German and French
- Great ease in using IT tools
- Enjoyment of data entry, quick-wittedness, strong team spirit, stress resistance, loyalty and discretion
- Flexibility in terms of working hours (availability to work weekend and night shifts)
