Role:
Modern networks no longer consist only of switches, routers, and individual configurations. Especially in critical infrastructures, network solutions must function reliably, remain scalable, and increasingly be operated automatically. We are looking for a person who combines solid network engineering with automation and keeps an overview even in operational operations.
Responsibilities:
Network Architecture & Engineering
You develop L2/L3 network solutions for complex and demanding infrastructures.
You contribute your experience to existing network architectures and participate in new concepts.
You support the long-term stable and operationally secure further development of network solutions.
Automation & Efficiency
You develop automation solutions that make recurring network tasks more efficient and reliable.
You use your knowledge of Python, Ansible, and network automation to further optimise processes.
Operations & Availability
You analyse technical faults, systematically narrow down errors, and restore reliable operation.
You also take responsibility for the availability of the network environment in the 7x24 on-call service.
Know-how & Collaboration
You pass on your knowledge in training sessions to internal staff, operations, field support, and customers.
You work with various technical stakeholders and support continuous knowledge transfer.
Qualifications:
You have training as an IT specialist EFZ, further education at HF/FH level, or a comparable qualification.
You have several years of experience in network engineering.
You have solid knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies as well as network protocols.
You are familiar with the possibilities of modern network automation and ideally have practical experience with Python and Ansible.
You think analytically, act independently, and find pragmatic solutions even in complex faults.
You are interested in new technologies and strive to continuously develop your expertise.
You communicate fluently in German and very well in English.
You are flexible, team-oriented, and convince with a high service orientation.
