About the job
What you will do here
- Develop and teach course content for the interdisciplinary area of Music Mediation/Music in Context - in German, French, and English
- Prepare students of the minor and specialization programs for mediation tasks in leadership, ensemble or orchestra, as well as for a freelance career
- Initiate discourses and ensure that practice-relevant topics are continuously reflected upon and further developed
- Lead and support a team of lecturers and assistants to ensure a comprehensive curriculum and smooth information flow
- Deepen and expand connections to the areas of Career Skills, Research, and Pedagogy as well as to other universities and external partners
What you ideally bring with you
- University degree as well as experience in mediation practice and research, management, or other music pedagogical areas
- Extensive practical and theoretical experience in at least one area of music mediation and strong expertise across the entire discipline
- Existing network of relevant partners and institutions in Bern and Switzerland or proven competence in building local networks
- Interviews in Bern: 1st round: 26.01.2026, 2nd round: 09.02.2026
- A written task to be included with the application, as well as further information, will be provided by Ellen Fallowfield
